A Panel Discussion with 2 Experienced Investors plus a Director of an Architectural Practice
Thursday, 11 September 2025 | 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Lifepoint Church Auditorium, 61 Hopper Street, Mount Cook, Wellington

Join us for an informative and inspiring evening as our panel share their insights, experiences, and lessons learned in the fast-evolving areas of infill and relocatable housing.

Our Panel

Facilitator: Suzanne Taylor – Wellington PIA Committee

Ged Donnelly – Property Investor & Developer
With 23 years of property investment experience, Ged and his wife Liz have completed subdivisions, new builds, relocations, flips, and are currently undertaking a 17-unit development in Johnsonville plus smaller subdivisions in Porirua and Ohakune. Ged will share photos and behind-the-scenes insights from these projects.

Barbara Penney – Director, Houses to Homes Ltd
Barbara began her property ownership journey at just 24, balancing homeownership with raising her young son and hosting flatmates and international students to cover the mortgage. By 26, she had expanded to Wellington, stepping into the role of landlord with a separate rental flat while continuing to share accommodation herself.
After a career as a self-employed management consultant and project manager, Barbara pivoted to property full-time in 2015. Since then, she has completed 19 property renovations and two subdivisions across Lower and Upper Hutt. She will share practical lessons from her journey—covering renovation strategies, subdivision challenges, and tips for maximising property potential.

Duncan Cameron – Director, Blue Pencil Architects
With over a decade of leadership in this Wellington-based architectural practice, Duncan specialises in practical, buildable design solutions for residential and commercial projects. He’ll cover the design process from concept to completion, council coordination, and how to balance creative vision with cost-efficiency and compliance—particularly for investor and developer clients.
